Possibly Faulty Realtek ALC889a

Please refer to my topic in "Audio Hardware," titled "Realtek ALC889a - Bad chip or bad driver? Static and noise all the time."
http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....showtopic=88041

The samples attached:

One of them is the "ding-dong" test sound in the Vista sound control where you adjust bitrate and sampling rate. One of them is the reference, and the other one is the recording from the 889a. As you can hear, there is a "whirr" and another weird sound, followed by a high pitched beep, after the ding dong sound.

Another sample is a recording of what happens when the volume slider is moved up and down.

The last two samples are a very short segment from the beginning of Chris Tomlin's "All To Us." As you can hear, there is a LOT of static going on.
