Pause Noise Bug in 0.586

If you play a song and press pause button several times, foobar will bring a noise in the speaker, instead of resume playing the mp3.

Perhaps you could reveal a little more info.

Windows version?
DSP plugins?
Output plugin?
Type of file?

Any other info?

Can't reproduce here... Same setup as above with a SBlive card.  I even tried holding down 'x' to autofire pause  Looks like a sound card issue.

I had this same problem using DirectSound also.
I'd get a loud buzzer sound when I paused and another sound was playing.
I'm guessing it occurs when 2 independent DS calls are made.
I'm using KS now, so I don't get that problem anymore.
I think its a bug though, since I never got problem with Winamp.

unable to reproduce with an identical config save for using kernel streaming instead of ds.

edit: just tried directsound and waveout and they work ok too.

I tested it again, it seems so that you have to restart foobar until the output plugin settings will take effect. After testing all 3 output plugins, I think Gemini was right.

Waveout and Kernel Streaming works flawlessly.

Just DirectSound still has this feature.

At the moment I have switched to WaveOut and have no problems.
