Thanks for the update
I think each track bitrate info is useless though, that's pretty odd to have tracks at different bitrate in the same album.

Don't say that, I've been asking for this feature since early IBIZA days

I have several albums or compilations with mixed bitrate, it just shows you which ones need updating. And you can easily hide the feature if you don't like it

you can easily hide this info in elp settings

(rate-engine at bottom left do not displays them because it reflects only the metadata info from file)

I still haven't installed curacao, but doesn't it work with this code I took from tedgo's style.

http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....st&p=603138

NOW (v1.2a) rating info from playback stats library are displayed as well (elplaylist, under cover panel), but NOT in the rating engine that is the rating stored in file TAG %rating% $meta(rating) if you prefer.

so it's no sense to display library rating here, only stored TAG from files, CAPICE ?

Why is it odd to have tracks with different bitrates?  A variable bitrate encoding will do just that...give different bitrates for each track.  Using a constant bitrate encoding, you would get the same bitrate for each file, but that isn't necessarily the best way to encode files.

Thanks for the update but I can't install it.
At the start up I get:

Code: [Select]
Failed to load DLL: foo_albumlist.dll
Reason: The specified procedure could not be found.

Even though I have the DLL in the components folder.
This pop up appeared on the other version at the start up but it didn't affect the installation. When I try to import 1.2a I get:

Code: [Select]
The layout import was aborted because the following required panels are not installed:
Album List     (Then a GUID number)

Any ideas on how to sort this out?

I don't wanna feel you be pissed off, but I would tell the people that there is a possibility to rate in statistics with this button too.
I don't think there is no sense, cause like I and developers think, it's not a good idea to change files with such things.

Sorry for the note, but it was only a suggestion and not an attack.

OK, not different bitrates, but different encoding presets

I had the same problem. was missing "foo_uie_albumlist.dll". try adding that and see if it works. (curacao_1.2a)

Wow! What a great update! My two favourite changes:
$puts(foo_path,'./') --> no need to change the path for every single panel anymore
Finally supporting Playback Statistics-ratings!
Thank you very much, Brett!

You are acting like a prima donna.

Again, it was not an attack, only a suggestion, cause I like your configs very much.

But, nerver mind.

The problem is not here, it is just that you do not understand how 3rd party plug in works and how curacao use them, i make a notice to explain why the rating engine will not reflect the library-rate but only the file-tag-rate, and you do not understand it, so, once again i will explain to you the problem and the reason of this choice:

1) if a track is rated in the library using the official playback statistics module (foo_playcount), we can use %rating% field in titleformatting and so in third party componenets.

2) if a track is rated in the music file itself, we can use %rating% too or $meta(rating) in titleformat strings (note that $meta(rating) will return nothing if track is rated only in the statisitic database)

3) to rate a track in the stats lib, we have to use right click on the track with context menu and select the right entry.

4) to rate a track in the music file itself, we have in Curacao (or ibiza ...) the rate-engine which is a simple Trackinfo_mod panel that allow this.

5) if a track is rated in both method and if we display the rate with the %rating% method, rate from the stats lib is used in priority.

6) rate-engine (a simple trackinfo_mod panel) only permits to TAG music files, not the statistic library db

So, now that things are clear for you and me, do you have a better understanding of the reason why i do not display the stats lib rate in the Trackinfo_mod panel ?
if i display the stats lib rating info in it, we cannot know where is stored the rating for the track. and if for example there is a 3 stars rating in the trackinfo_mod, if i want to rate it more or less, it will tag the music file (not the stats lib db) and it will be never displayed well in the Trackinfo_mod, because of rule 5 (seen above), and the rule 6

maybe i'll use different colors for the stars to make the difference later but for now, it works like that

Thanks a lot for the explanation.

I noticed for myself that if there are different ratings in Tag an Stats Lib that the Lib is prioritized and there is a "strange" behaviour.

But, point 6. is not true (in Ibiza). I can rate in trackinfo_mod panel via Stats Lib, thats what I want to say all the time.
If there is some rating in the tag and I re-rate it via stats lib, I get an window asking me for deleting the tag-rating and only store the rating in stats lib and so point 5 is also obsolete, cause I only have the Stats Lib.

The only suggestion I wanted to say is, to tell the people who prefer the Stats Lib that there is also a possibility.

I hope I didn't missunderstand you completly.

no way i know... art support with streaming need to be handled by a specific component, like last.fm radio component does (grab cover art from last.fm site that can be displayed in foobar)

@Krema+Or
I don't know how Br3tt has made his setup (i haven't installed it at the moment, i only took a look in it, to learn the handling of ELPlaylist) but in ELPlaylist I've done it with:

Code: [Select]
$if($strcmp($left(%path%,7),'http://'),
    $imageabs(3,3,$sub(%el_height%,8),$sub(%el_height%,8),%__FOO_PATH__%Radio.png)
,
    $imageabs(3,3,$sub(%el_height%,8),$sub(%el_height%,8),%__FOO_PATH__%NoCover.png)
    $imageabs(3,3,$sub(%el_height%,8),$sub(%el_height%,8),%path%,artreader)
)

I haven't integrate it in my own skin though, because i rarely use radio in foobar and i don't know if there are no other possible conditions where the path begins with 'http://' (although I don't know any. Maybe I'm stupid, I know...  )

Or did i misunderstand you?

EDIT:
Spelling.

i have misunderstood the Krema+Or question, sorry

it's easier to test the %length% for streaming radio, this one is not set for them, so instead of :
$if($strcmp($left(%path%,7),'http://'), ...
you can write :
$if($not(%length%), ...

May i ask you that silly question?
In what other situation can the path begin with http://?
(I only use foobar for music on my local or connectable harddisc)
I first had tested the situation with $if(%length%,...) but thought searching for 'http://' would be probably better.

I use this string only to indicate a blinking "STREAMING" in the statusbar.

Hey Br3tt, or anyone else,

I do not allow the lyrics plugin to automatically tag my files, instead I have it save them as a LRC file (named in the format of %artist% - %filename%.lrc).  I have tried to change the ELP settings so that it will show the lyric icon when a song has the accompanying LRC file, but I haven't gotten it to work.  Anyone else try this?  I tried to modify the $or statement to include a $replace function similar to the ones used for artwork.  But it hasn't worked.  Not sure if fb2k or the plugin can look for LRC files like it can image files.

Thanks.

I've found the solution of the "Failed to load DLL: foo_menu_addons.dll" problem.

I downgraded my foobar from 0.9.6 to 0.9.5, and it works perfectly.

By the way, it really is a nice piece of work Br3tt !

Thk for the work !
