Newbie help!

Hi!
I've got a simple problem...I guess!
What is the best way to burn MPC to CD?
I don't mean how decode and so on, I know that one.
But how to use scale, normalize, replaygain etc.
If I were to burn a MPC file to CD I would first decode it,
just mppdec whatever.mpc burn.wav and then normalize it
in Nero before burning using RMS at 20%.
Is this right?
How would you burn your CD's?

Help me!

Edit:
I found out that mppdec --prev --gain 0(1) whatever.mpc gave me good results.
But I don't really know what these switches means.
I thought that --gain 2 == --prev --gain 0 but in the last case
clipping prevention is used. But apparently they are not equal.
Since --gain 2 reduces "volume" really too much.

Can someone explain to me?
