I was wondering if it might be a good idea to have a dedicated marketplace forum where people can post their hardware for sale. I know there are sites like eBay, but I thought this (HA) would be a better place to offer audio related stuff and that the hardware is in better hands if sold here than on eBay. In order to avoid spam, maybe you can grant access to the marketplace forums only if the user has 50+ or 100+ posts. I could also imagine some guidelines to follow, such as including the country in the thread title so that people interested know right from the start how far away the seller lives.

Currently, offering stuff for sale here violates TOS 14.

I am against this. The forum should remain purely a discussion forum. Things usually turn for the worse when there's monetary interests involved.
