Foobar and the .mpa extension

Hi guys, just a small request: could foobar be changed slightly, or configured, so that .mpa extension is recognized as .mp2? I use foobar to transcode audio and certain applications demultiplex audio with the .mpa extension, it's very tiresome to have to go and rename each one

my spider senses tell me foobar picks the decoder based on file extension

hope you can help. thanks

thanks for the suggestion, but i'd really like to avoid having to use another app to rename all extensions, it's almost as bad as having to rename them manually (i usually transcode around 5 or 6 every day)

i was hoping it could just be added to the supported types list, like m4a (which is really just aac in mp4, apple uses it to distinguish audio from video)

the problem is foobar doesn't read the file so long as it has the mpa extension. it needs to be recognized as .mp2
