3.90 stable compile problem

Strange, says i'm missing vbrquantize.h (vbrquantize.c is present though)
damn and i can't wait to finally have a 'STABLE' (it's been a long time since 3.70). The source archive was pulled of of sourceforge from the main 'files' page.

UPDATE: I just pulled the source off of CVS, works fine. Someone should fix the archive on sourceforge though.

Yeah, this is a known problem. I think it should be fixed soon, but it might be a while longer since Mark Taylor will be away for awhile or something.

At any rate, the CVS version should be perfectly fine to use.

They are talking about the source code. It has nothing to do with the various binary offerings, all of which are fine to use.

Just posting just to say the LAME 3.90 stable source archived has been fixed so now people can make working compiles from the source archive, instead of pulling the source from CVS.

Below is the link to the source archive:

http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=290

Download the LAME 3.90.1.tar.gz file, it has the *missing* file, not in the original source archive.

Cheers and have a Happy Christmas and New Year
