Use APL instead.Hrm... maybe a cuesheet isn't the absolute best solution, but I've already got hundreds of albums with cuesheets that have metadata for each track embedded into it. Foobar 0.9 can read such data okay, but only the common fields, and it mangles the cuesheets (i.e. deletes all my metadata) if I try to change some info. I'd like to see this functionality extended so that it will work the way that trusty 0.8.3 did (with cue_ex). Last Edit: 2006-07-30 22:53:17 by Supacon
foobar2000 v0.9.3 beta Reply #155 – 2006-07-30 23:31:03 Also, using .apl has the advantage of being able to reference a single track in a playlist (*m3u8/fpl). The greatest drawback being its closed format, system encoding dependancy and having many files instead of one (which is also an advantage). This said, embedded (or not) cuesheets are still useful so long as it doesn't go overboard. I don't like the idea of an escape mess in cuesheet extended tags, but I support your suggestion.Apparently components that have been modified in beta 4 areshared.dllfoo_unpack.dllfoo_rgscan.dllfoo_masstag.dllfoo_converter.dllfoo_cdda.dllfoo_input_std.dllfoo_albumlist.dllfoo_dsp_std.dllfoo_ui_std.dll Last Edit: 2006-07-30 23:31:32 by Rasqual
foobar2000 v0.9.3 beta Reply #156 – 2006-07-31 09:52:25 Thanks to the developers for the keyboard shortcut for "Properties (properties tab)" .There is also a "Properties (metadata tab)", but that's the same as just "Properties".

foobar2000 v0.9.3 beta Reply #165 – 2006-08-08 02:44:31 What changes needed to be made to fix Vista compatability? I'm not running Vista yet, but I'm curious about the state of the transistion and why some programs do not work properly in under it.
foobar2000 v0.9.3 beta Reply #166 – 2006-08-08 03:59:29 I just installed Foobar v0.9.3 final on my Vista Public Beta2 testbox and it appears to run fine. Mind you this was just a default install and nothing fancy, no 3rd party plugins or anything but it appears to work out of the box with nothing special.

If this is the case turn it off/uninstall/shift+delete... As you may see it's less than helping.
