MPC Batch Encoder 1.6 Directory Error

I have 3 win xp machines, all running MPC batch encoder. 2 of the machines, i can drag a directory into the batch encoder window, and it'll resolve all the file names inside the directory. The 3rd machine doesn't resolve the directory, and just adds it. So i have to go and tag all the files and drop them into window.  Has anyone else had this issue? I can't understand why it does it.
Also, is it possible to add a top level directory to the mpc window, and it'll resolve all .wavs inside the top level directory. Just so i can go and add one directory to the window and it'll find all the wavs inside that.

Thanks
