EAC rip overread

I've started ripping to FLAC with EAC, using my NEC-3550.
Sometimes I get read/sync-error in the last track on CD's.
After ripping 50 cd's, i figured out that this was due do enableing the "overread"-function in the drive-options - offset-tab - menu.
But my NEC3550 does only support overread in the lead-in.

I unchecked the overread function, and no errors since.

BUT, do I have to re-rip the last track on my 50 first CD's to get better sound, or will those errors on last track be of a less important character?
