iRiver iMP-350

I just bought this second-hand player. Everything seems to be working properly but it won't keep my settings once I turn it off or just switch to the FM. The settings are resume, fade in, backlight etc. Batteries are in the unit at full charge. Should it save user settings? Thanks.
