Mixing a Radio Show

I am having trouble with voices overlapping each other during a radio show I have. I have experimented with the equalizer, but have had no luck.

When I listen to Howard Stern I can distinctly hear them whenever they laugh, and also whenever they talk over one another. I am trying to get that sound.

I have a 4-band equalizer, with frequency choice on the mid's. Can anyone help me?
