Reason @ MIDI Controllers

I've been thinking about picking up a USB MIDI Keyboard for Reason (and other apps). I was wondering if anyone has one and what there thoughts are on it.

Also; Lets say I have a 32key keyboard. Could I assign the keyboard to, lets say, the RedDrum instrument and make each sample in RedDrum assigned to it's own, single, key on the keyboard?... My goal: to tape out my beats using the keyboard instead of pointing and clicking.

Any tips and comments would be great. Im not sure if I want to invest in it.
