MP3 CD-rip to WAV, must I use Mp3gain??

So I've got a good audioCD-rip in MP3, now I want to burn them in .wav on CD-R do I first need to the use MP3gain for the MP3's before converting them into .wav??
Are the volumelevels changes in this process CD to MP3 to WAV??

(Or does MP3gain the same thing as an normalizer)
