CDex Extracting partial track?

I am having a problem extracting partial tracks from a couple of dance CD's.  I have, and still can do this on other discs. Has anybody run into this before?

I have tried everything that I can think of to do. I need to get the tracks off of the CD with part of the next song because they blend together after the end of the first track ripped.

When I try to do the extraction the time elapsed just runs but no extraction takes place. I can throw in another disc and all is fine. I opened the disc in windows and checked it for data files, none to be found. These are not CD extra, or mixed mode, just audio.

Any ideas?
