Main Menu configurability

So I figured I would go crazy and consolidate all of my menus into one, but I found out this is impossible.

Is there any certain reason why I cannot, for instance, make the Playback, Playlist, and Components menus into submenus of the foobar2000 menu, or is it just programmers preference in this case?

(I know I could probably go through and re-add all entries into submenus etc, but then the other menus still exist, and it would be much easier to just drag and drop the top menus into the foobar2000 menu on the menu editor in the preferences dialog).
