Fade on pause/seek

I think this is the last remaining feature of Winamp I miss, the ability to have a smooth fade when pausing or seeking through tracks.  Currently it sounds glitchy having a sudden pop when you pause, change volume or whatever..

I have tried the crossfade & continuator plugins, but they only work on track changes as far as I can tell.  Is there a nice component hiding out there somewhere? If so I would suggest it for the most wanted list, although simple, it adds a bit of audio polish in my opinion

Preferences->Playback->Output and select DirectSoundv2.
You can change the fade lenght in DirectSoundv2 menu.
