Component Management and Config Woes

A simple .ini file in the components directory?

It's annoying having to delete/rename components to turn them off. Either component authors could code "disable" functionality or foobar could have general component "disable" functionality. Anything would be better than what it is at the moment.

Also what's going on with the config? Is there really any reason for it to be so complicated?

I'm not REALLY that fussed, just curious. Though it's kind of frustrating not understanding what's in there!

Config complicated? Well, foobar is for experienced users, which have clue what all its functions do. BTW nearly every aspect of foobar configuration was discussed here on these forums. You can also find an answer here in Foobar's WIKI:
