The difference to STANDARD is not worthwhile to the higher bitrate

I switched from --r3mix to dibrom last year.
Using EAC I saved some Presets which I choose depending to the esteem and frequental spectrum of the Music .
So now investing into 120GB new HDD-Space I added an acceptable preset archiving normal music.

--alt-preset standard --lowpass 19.5

difference: maybe 5-10kbps higher avrb but less dull

I'm not technician enough to combine if this would bias/influence/superimpose the encoding-responsiveness to other frequencies.

Any experiences or logical encoding derivations?

Raising the cutoff will affect the quality of other frequencies where 320k frames are in use.

I would truly be surprised if anyone could here a difference between an 18.5-19KHz lowpass and a 19.5KHz lowpass.

16khz:19khz maybe...

samo, I suggest you try an ABX test to see if you really find --lowpass 19.5  really "less dull"
