--alt-preset standard

just a little question:

is it recommend to modify the --alt-preset standard switch with --lowpass 20 or will i get more artifacts? the 20kHz lowpass sounds a little bit better for me than the default 19kHz.

Yeah, you can use a higher lowpass if you want. There's of course theoretical possiility that bits run out, but that to give audible artifacts.. possibility is pretty small in my opinion.

Chances are it can't be heard tho... 16KHz yes, 19KHz -- not much chance. 

But a lowpass of 20KHz might make people feel better, since most equipment can reproduce up to ~20KHz.  That's understandable, altho probably not audible .
