AAC: LC, Main, Main LTP; MPEG2/4 What\'s the difference???

Hello guys,

I'm just wondering about all that options mentioned above.
Can anyone tell me what their advantages/funtions are?

BTW, is there some kind of preset for AAC encoding,
e.g. something like "--r3mix" or "--alt-preset standard"?

thx
