Foobar Can it remove empty folder(s) in your music collection?

I have been off testing MediaMonkey for a month or so now. Long story... I ended up with many, many empty, useless album folders. Does Foobar have any functionality to remove empty folders in a music collection?

Sounds like a job better suited for something like this?

As far as I remember foobar only offers to delete empty folders if you are moving the tracks out of them. In your case theres nothing to move so I doubt foobar would help.

You could perhaps create a new music folder, move tracks to it with foobar then delete the old music folder which should have a bunch of empty folders in it. But that might have unintended consequences if your tags are not properly filled.

Code: [Select]
for /f "delims=" %%d in ('dir /s /b /ad %1 ^| sort /r') do rd "%%d" 2>nul

Put this into a text file, set extension to bat, run batch file. This will delete all empty subfolders from the folder where the batch file is run.
