What name(s) is/are more standard for cover files?

When settings covers by placing and image in the same folders as audio files *1, is there (a) filename(s) that is more standard*2 than others?

*1 I really mean when placing images in folder, not including them in audio file metadata.
*2 By standard I mean that it will be displayed by as many softwares and also hardwares as possible.
(I use to name my files "folder.jpg", casually "cover.jpg". Locally, I use Foobar2000 which recognises both but I have no idea if one or the other or yet some other name is more standard especially for hardwares.)

I use the album name, but I also embed the artwork in the audio files which is the most universal but least space-efficient method.

I have my album artwork embedded in the audio files.  I also have folder.jpg soft-linked to "artist - album.jpg"
