CD ACCESS ERROR

Hi everyone,

after a search on the forum I couldn't found any subject except one quite like the same as mine but without an answer so I'm a bit worried.

I'l running a surface Pro3 windows 10 and an external samsung cd reader. Not an old one. I installed the lastest version of fb2k as well as the flac codec. And I cant rip almost any of my cds. It recognize the CD, find the metadata, starts to rip in flac but ends almost quite immediatly with the following reports errors below. Of course the very same cds are being ripped without any problems in flac with the windows media player.....

Any idea why it doesn't want to work properly. Thank you for your help.

11 out of 11 tracks converted with major problems.

Error #1167: ERROR_DEVICE_NOT_CONNECTED.

Sounds like your optical drive doesn't like foobar2000's AKRip derived access code, as it's disconnecting while the rip is starting. Try ripping it with Exact Audio Copy instead? I realize it's a royal pain to set up, but it supports a wider range of options, including different raw audio read commands, and lead-in/lead-out reading, and C2 reading for error correction, if necessary.

Another possibility is that something is stealing access to the device while you are trying to rip from it.
