Question to a foobar (forum) mod/developer

Hello,

I would like to contribute to the mobile fundraiser, but I have a few questions about that since I can't choose.
When will the first beta be (roughly) expected? And it mentions you get access to the 'first' beta, but I assume you can use the app the whole time it's in development!?
