broken lame header

hi.

i've got a small problem using eac + lame.

today i was encoding a few albums and i noticed that EVERY LAST TRACK on the album had a broken header.
it was recognised as "fhg" 32kbps [cbr].

but my settings were diffrent (--alt-preset fast standard  %s %d)

what's wrong ?!

thnx for info.

additional info.

i was wrong. not every last file on an album has a broken header.

it just happens. sometimes even 2 or 3 files are 'broken'.

Are you using ID3v2 tags?

Sometimes, when adding ID3v2 tags, EAC removes some bytes in the beginning of the file. (At least, that's what I heard. Never happened to me, because I don't use ID3v2)

Roberto.

i must check if it was mentioned on EAC forum.

thnx.

I had the same problem - unchecked ID3v2 in EAC options and it's OK now (must use a tagger for longer titles, tho). But You can always use VBRfix for broken VBR headers
