Play button does not work

I have a new installation of foobar2000 v.1.2.2. When I press the Play-button, the program says: "Playback stopped." Right-clicking "Play" with my mouse works ok´.
In the "Playback" list, "Stop" is automatically checked (V), and this mark cannot be removed.

Any suggestions?

More information. From where are you attempting to play files? If from the Media Library, you must send them to a playlist before they can be played. The Play button will not do anything if there is not a currently active playlist with at least one file in it.

OK, now it works fine. A simple introduction like "Foobar for Dummies" would be nice!
