L.A.M.I.P first code source aviable

ok the source code is aviable just for testing purpose only, it's not a release, I would like to have Linux people test this version and submit what they want to have/see in the player....

a this time the mp3/mp4/ogg plugin work
oss for output
and a simple gtk+2.2 control plugin (GUI plugin)
a kjofol skin management control plugin is in dev.. and need testing

so let's see it at http://lamip.retechnologies.org (seems that at certain time the site is inaccessible... don't know why.. :/

you will get a lot more attention at SourceForge.
i really hope you plan on adding MPC support also. all i need is a good reason to switch from XMMS!

Edit: LOL whoops, i take it back! I really should have checked sourceforge before saying anything.

am I right that you have to register on your site to download anything and there're no files on sourceforge/cvs ?

if you would like to do a such plugin ... why not , i currently concentrate on dev of kjofol skin managment and a media library/multiple playlist managment

at this time i try to have a 'simpliest code' for audio format decoding that i use (aka : ogg,mp3, mp4,wav)
and able to make it multiplateforme (as i based the code on glib2), and multiple interface but i need really testing from user.s.
i'am waiting return from users  (the source code that i put on the site)..
i update it around all week (with new bug fix and some add that i do on the week (if i code something also)).

If you want to have some dialog about the software (installation/feature), i'm on IRC on #lamip of freenode's servers but also not all the time , if you  want to see me stay on the channel..

I would test it but it looks like glib.h is not installed on my system (Debian 3 updated to testing/sarge) therefore I can't get it to compile... Sorry

Code: [Select]
creating libtool
./configure: line 1: pkg-config: command not found
checking for pkg-config... no
./configure: line 7627: error:: command not found
checking glib.h usability... no
checking glib.h presence... no
checking for glib.h... no
configure: error: *** glib-2.x header not found

i couldnt get it to compile. Im running gentoo linux with glib 2.2.5. the bootstrap errors out with:

Code: [Select]
sphoid@sphoidrealm sources $ ./bootstrap
You should add the contents of `/usr/share/aclocal/libtool.m4' to `aclocal.m4'.
autoconf: Undefined macros:
configure.in:2:AC_CONFIG_SRCDIR(src/main.c)
automake: configure.in: installing `./install-sh'
automake: configure.in: installing `./mkinstalldirs'
automake: configure.in: installing `./missing'
automake: Makefile.am: installing `./COPYING'

I'm not a coder, so I couldn't have done much, but it would have been nice to see a high quality alternative to XMMS in Linux.
