[feature request] metro UI support?

i was wondering when would foobar2000 support the metro UI of windows 8?
because that would really really like really be AWE-SUM!
i'm just saying.

keeping the simple, minimalistic look of fb2k.
but mixing it with the windows 8 feel.
metro UI icon, metro app-ish style.
being able to access it on the left bar.

simply integrating foobar2000 with win 8

all those similar features of the "music" metro app
already present on windows 8

I am blissfully unaware of foobar's internals, but I imagine this would "merely" require an extra UI component.

There is a difference between metro apps on one side and desktop apps just using metro design language (like zune software) on the other side. Since foobar2000 is a desktop app and the op requests a metro app that would mean a totally new program has to be created. With the exception of internet browsers in Windows 8 hybrid apps won't be allowed. As i mentioned already on another place: boom is more appropriate to be transformed into a real metro app than foobar2000 with all its features and complexity. I see no reason why Peter shouldn't earn money with boom: poweramp for android showed that a good program is going to be successful even it is sold for a relatively high price.

EDIT
By the way: It's not called metro ui anymore! Probably because of that company

What are metro ui features??

If you just mean the design language so you can take microsofts zune player that is probably one of the first products that used this design (even before windows phone 7 tiles). But note that it isn't a socalled metro app: it is a desktop app! If you want to use a real metro app: windows 8 comes with a simple stock music app.

i'm trying to find another audio player [with the metro design language] because the default win8 music app is not quite stable (it closes on its own sometimes) i don't really know if i'm doing anything wrong. so better to find another.

foobar on the other hand is really great as a desktop app. no question about that.

maybe i just want a new interface to play with. hehe

I also think that it's hard to develop a Mordern UI App for highly customizable things like foobar2000. It has too much limits.

BTW, I appreciate the balloon notification very much. It always saves my time. So, is it possible to develop a plug-in to achieve the display like the autoplay in Winodws 8 or a.k.a Toast notification? It's better just to link the system.

By the way, it is still called the MetroUI just so you know. I asked Microsoft themselves when I was on the phone with them recently.

You might want to check out BoomAudio if you are using a touchscreen.
