24/192 USB DAC using Linux / unix

I've never heard of a problem or experienced one myself, but I recently spoke with a USB DAC manufacturer who said they had problems getting 24/192 and higher such as 24/384, etc. over USB because drivers happen to be quite hardware dependent.  so they wrote drivers for WIN / MAC.

has anyone had any trouble in any way getting a USB DAC to work with Linux or some other unix?  especially with 24/192 or higher?

thanks in advance.

I have no personal experience with Linux or Mac but both OSX and recent versions of Linux support USB audio class 2 natively

As Class 2 uses high speed (480 MHz) instead of Full Speed, resolutions like 192 and higher shouldn’t be a problem.
