Some playlist data has extra underscore added

version 2.1.2 (X86) - A seemingly random number of items in the playlist display have an underscore suffix added specifically TITLE and ALBUM TITLE. they still play OK and show the correct values in properties window. Windows browser shows correct metadata values but if conversion tool uses automatic naming the bad data corrupts the names and the metadata.

The same thing happens if I add the same track as single file to a new playlist. Always the same tracks are affected.

Sounds like foobar2000 is warning you that your tags contain invalid data like empty newline after the actual value.

Thanks that was a good suggestion. I looked at the meta-data using Audacity and it did show a space in the title. I used fb2k properties dialogue to edit the metadata. Even though I couldn't actually see the space I found that deleting the last visible character and reinserting it did the trick.
