Foobar copy

I'm having trouble making a copy of foobar.  I've tried what people say.... .rar the program files folder for foobar, then install foobar on the next PC, then delete the program folder and copy the old one over it.

This hasn't worked for me.  When I moved from XP to Vista a year ago, I was pissed to find out I couldn't get it to work and so had to reconfigure everything.

Now I want to move what I have on my PC to my laptop.  I again tried the same thing and it didn't work.

My PC version is 0.9.4 and my laptop one is whatever the newest one is.  Would version number affect this?

Thanks.

Depending on your operating system and the way you installed it, the configuration might be in foobar folder in program files, or in a foobar folder in %appdata%.
Maybe that's the reason - try to copy the folder in %appdata% too.
