Asio out 1.2.6 - Not bit-perfect?

This picture shows distortion level of ASUS xonar soundcard's digital out with Foobar asio out compared to Winamp's japanese asio out v0.67.

Does anyone also checks Foobar's asio out correctness?

The ASIO plugin has been goofy ever since version .9 came out.  Works 100% for some people, not at all for others, and for some it works but the sound is corrupted.  Apparently nobody in the computer audio industry knows how to write a proper ASIO driver.  So, this doesn't surprise me at all.

The ASUS Xonar card may just be one of the ones the plugin has issues with.  I know for sure it doesn't work with my Juli@ on vista 32-bit.  It worked on XP, but always had bad clicking and popping.  You can search the support forum and find tons of people who have issues with the plugin.
