Wrong bitrate and song lenght

I have this kind of strange situation

I hve these MP3s when I open them in Winamp it shows songs lenght like 50:17 which is false and when I play them it changes and shows the correct lenght,

+ when I do file info, or in other MP3 manipulating programs it shows a bitrate of 32 kbps when in fact the file has a bitrate of around 148 kbps (it's a VBR MP3...)

I've tried to remove all the tags (v1 and v2) but I can't seem to "repair" them...

any clues ?

is it repairable ?

They're missing the Xing VBR headers, so Winamp assumes they're CBR based on the first frame (probably 32 kbps).  Then when you start playing them Winamp realizes they're VBR and starts calculating an average bitrate to determine the song length, but this keeps getting updated as the song plays.  The solution - add a Xing VBR header.  There's a program that can do this that I have on my other computer (at school), but I can't remember where I got it from; I think it's named "VBR Header Maker" or something of that sort.
