iTunes style filter?

Hey I was just wondering if anyone knows of a mod which filters the song database or current playlist via text input, similar to that in iTunes.

I've got quicksearch but doesnt appear to do the same thing.

For those of you who don't have iTunes allow me to explain. If I have 5000 songs in a big long list I might want to find a particular song or album. If I type into the filter "Radiohead" everything that doesn't contain "Radiohead" will no longer appear. In iTunes as I type songs will dissapear as they don't fulfill the criteria.

I'm sorry if this has already been posted somewhere but I can't find anything like it and if quicksearch has it then please tell me how to make it work as I have posted.

Thanks!

From your description, it sounds like you want to set the option "Autosearch" (when you click the magnify icon). In preferences you can set the delay of this search.

You also choose if you want to search from the database or the currect playlist. You should note that the songs don't dissapear, but are added to a new playlist.
Can't wait for a HD-AAC encoder :P

Yeah I guess this works ok. It's not exactly how i'd like it to work but it's good enough. Still not sure if I can drop iTunes yet, it already does everything I want. It's just that foobars so much more efficient and doesn't have half the useless crap iTunes does. ARGH!

Perhaps you mean Edit -> Search (F3)?  Also try foosion's Database Search component, and right click -> Filter in the Album List panel.
