I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas today and say that I hope everyone has had (and will have) a great Holiday season!

It's been a great 5 months since this site has been up and it's been a pleasure to have been a host to everyone here.  Since Hydrogenaudio has gone online, our user base has grown at an amazing rate, and the level of knowledge shown here is, in my opinion, unsurpassed by any other community of this type around.

Lets continue to work together and towards discussion of and research of high quality audio encoding and related tools into the year 2002 and really raise the bar of what is possible when a large group of people such as this put their mind to something

So once again, thanks immeasurably to all who frequent this site, to all the developers who have made our area of interest possible, and to everyone who has helped me and others run this site and offered us all support!

And Happy Holidays to All!

yeah, recently this site has really been good. At first it was kinda quite but it has really picked up.

.... let me dare to ask all you brilliant developers here about something minor :

Have a heart for us little DivX rippers    .... sound quality is so important for a good movie and its breaking my heart that there are so many new audio codecs exisiting with much improved  performance at low bitrates and we're still using the wonderful Lame codec at bitrates it just wasnt designed for ....  ..... of course, results are still much better than Radium CBR 96 kbps  ...

Merry Christmas ( a bit late, i know ) and a happy new 2002 to all of you, looking forward to work with you in order to find a way to use AAC or Ogg or both in AVIs .....
