Please help decode to wav a corrupted Monkey file..

Would anybody please help me to decode to wav a Monkey Audio file – a CD image, which has corrupted data of approx. 5 sec in the first quarter of the file. Winamp plays it just fine with Stop On Error disabled, it just produces silence during these 5 secs.

Monkey Audio GUI 3.99 and 4.01 I’ve tried to use for decoding to wav stops at the error point and doesn’t go past it, as well as Foobar. Audition with the Monkey-in filter also opens only 1st part of the file.

I know that this problem was discussed here, but I could not find any solution.

There's probably better ways, but couldn't you use Winamp's Disk Writer output pluging to just output to WAVE?

I suspect that foobar would let you convert it - if not v0.9 (which is more strict and has little time for Monkey's Audio) then v0.8.3.

I can't see how quality could be better, as we are talking about a lossless transcode.

The only difference I could see would be in the error handling.  I would expect other apps to handle the errors differently, and, who knows, possibly better.  If you're really concerned try with foobar as well and compare the results.
