Mp3 Discman Navigate By Tag

I just bought SlimX and i wanted to know if there's any way to navigate mp3 cd's by artists , genre , album...
as i understand i can only navigate through the folders...
(if i can only navigate by folders and file names why do i need Id3 tags.)

I worked very hard on the mp3 tags and i wanted to navigate by them, can i do it?
if not there is any good mp3 player that can do it?

I have a SlimX and nothing else for a portable.

Nope. Navigation by file/folder only...but you can set up WinAmp playlists (20 m3u's max per CD) which the SlimX will read.

But you can set equalizer based on Id3 genre....
