How do i get Firefox to use foobar?

Is there a way to get Firefox 1.0 to play audio-files using foobar  as a plugin, as my old IE did with the Microsoft Mediaplayer:cry: ??
I would be very grateful if someone could tell me how to do this...

Try FoxyTunes extension for Firefox.  Working good for me.

What exactly is that supposed to be? Especially, what does it have to do with Firefox?

Foxy Tunes is a plugin for Firefox that lets you control any media player directly from the browser.  Basically, you can configure it to dock w/ any toolbar you'd like.  I have mine set up in the upper right corner, under the search engine feature of firefox.  You can configure Foobar2000 to minimize to the tray as an icon and show tooltips.  In effect, it saves space on your taskbar and gives you cool pop-ups when songs change.  You dont' have to keep minimizing/maximizing foobar from the taskbar.

It's all personal preference how you wanna set it up, but it's pretty snazzy  Very convenient

I think the thread starter wants to know if foobar2000 can be embedded as plugin in the browser to play audio files directly in a web page (as Quicktime or Realplayer or WM Player).
He did not ask how to control foobar with the browser.
