Hydorgen And Pcabx

Is hydrogenaudio an ogg advocacy group? If not can someone explain how offering critical suggestions to ogg development (volume increasing ap, and wide vbr alt) can be considered trolling?  Is it that painful to hear "shape up" or "get beat?"

Also, I suggest people wishing me to upload a web page contact me personally to offer ftp space.  Or at least answer your private emails.

I do suggest more consideration and empathy to others who have suggestions contrary to fundamentalist beliefs.  Especially since the masses are on the side of true gain increase (and perhaps, benefit from a wider ogg vbr mode).

On a more interesting bar, pcabx looks okay, but before wasting time with it, I have a question.  What I desire is a program where I can drop at least 3 test file upon, and the original wav file. It would then create door number 1-3 randomly and the original.  Then I would have a 4 second window I could move across the parallel files--space bar to toggle through samples.  Does this program do this, or is there one that can?

I suggest you think about what kind of response your posts are likely to receive when you word them this way.  You are clearly saying that the opinions you've seen expressed here, other than your own, are biased and dogmatic.  That's not the foundation for a reasoned and calm discussion.

Yes, HydrogenAudio is advocating Ogg Vorbis. HydrogenAudio is also advocating MPC,AAC and MP3.

Suggestions per se are never considered trolling. Wide vbr.. I'd believe only in one area where there could be wider (higher) vbr fluctuation - impulse handling.

Anyway, obviously anything people say here will make you convinced. Thus I suggest you go to irc.xiph.org #vorbis and talk with Monty (the main developer of Vorbis) directly. He's there pretty often.

About DBT programs: yeah ABC/HR probably comes closest.

Why don't you tell us the particular album, track and position where you hear whatever you said you were hearing? Someone might have the album and can try to verify what you are hearing. How do you expect us to believe your claim if there is no proof of it?

1) well, people were seriously discussing your suggestions, whether they're justified, and whether there would be some benefit from them or not. they didn't come to the same conclusion as you and they explained why... so what?

2) in that thread of yours about vorbis volume: "Man!, if you want to be taken seriously, provide some clips, i could host them for you!" ~ Benjamin Lebsanft

3) someone told you that vorbis bitrate is flexing much more than winamp shows, since the plugin averages the bitrate over a certain period of time. please take the time to read and consider what people are saying.
