replaygain plugin for cool edit/audition?

okay, the title says it all.  i did a bit of a search to see if this hasn't already been asked, and didn't find anything.

when i master stuff in cooledit i use analyse > statistics quite often to get an idea of the RMS levels of the stuff i'm working on.  the RMS level is only a valid loudness measure if i EQ everything the same, which isn't always possible (some people are consistently too close to the mic, or have resonant voices that aren't always possible or indeed desirable to correct).

if there were a replaygain plugin that scanned the selection in the same way as "analyse > statistics", it would be an incredibly useful tool.

would this be difficult?  unfortunately i'm not a programmer (i really should learn), but i've seen enough cooledit plugins that it doesn't seem too difficult to develop for this program.

thanks

I used to wonder why CEP hasn't such a tool, too. Unfortunately, the "group waveform normalize" function doesn't work as good as wavegain. I don't know of a plugin.

I know that I know nothing. But how can I then know that ?
