WOMAD Music offering ALAC downloads ~$10/album

http://www.womadshop.com

Search didn't turn up anything on WOMAD, so I thought I'd share this as any new/additional music site offering (legal) lossless downloads is a good thing, IMO.

They don't offer lossless on all their titles, and for shorter albums, the ~$10 price (5.99 GBP) is perhaps a bit much, but on the flip side, that appears to be the pricing for ANY album in ALAC.

For example, I downloaded the two-disc soundtrack to "Long Way Down" - 30 tracks total - for 5.99 GBP(!).  I've only had a chance to listen to a couple tracks so far, but they sound excellent, and spectral analysis shows that they don't appear to have any hard lowpass, i.e. these weren't bone-headedly transcoded from lossy originals.

The other good thing is that they appear to have at least some degree of international sales support - I'm in the U.S., and even though there was no option to display prices in dollars, my transaction still went through (I had to log back into my account to get to the download link), and the download went quickly (~1.5 MB/sec) and smoothly.
"Not sure what the question is, but the answer is probably no."
