For me it's the opposite... The only thing DLL:s are really useful for are realtime recordings...

I'm not Ivan, but I think i will be able to help here.

Well, you must keep in mind that AACenc is a commercial project - Free for end users!
AACenc should be regarded as a "Technology demonstration", not as a hobby project like Musepack.

The bottom line is: No, Ivan probably won't release AACenc as DLL.
