req: a skip-to-the-good-part plugin

I am sure that most electronica/dance/house/club/etc music fans know and are annoyed by the lengthy beat sequences that often precede (and sometimes trail) the good part of the song.

Would someone be interested in writing a plugin (DSP?) that reads a special tag in an audio file (the tag would indicate at what times to start and stop playing the track) and plays the file accordingly. It would also be good if the plugin provided some easy way of creating such tags.

I hope this grabs someone's attention

Thanks for the info.

Although this is an alternative, it is slightly too work-intensive for my purpose. The word is still out for someone capable of writing a dsp (or other) foobar plugin that would do this.
