I am puzzled by ID3 tag reader

I have some mp3s,and they have both ID3v1 tags and ID3v2 tags
those tags stores mp3 information in different languages
I found that foobar mostly reads the ID3v1 tag successful
but sometimes it cannot read the ARTIST info correctly

I think we may have the choice to use ID3v1 and ID3v2 tag
and there be a bug in reading the ARTIST info

For ID3v2 support, please extract foo_id3v2 to foobar2000's components directory and enable ID3v2 tag reading/writing via Preferences, Playback, Input, Standard inputs, Tag type to write.

Please be a little bit more specific about the artist info "bug". Maybe the artist info is only stored in the ID3v2 tag of your files?

Also, after extracting foo_id3v2 and restarting foobar, remember to reload info from files (right click|database|reload info from files).

another problem:
I feel it is dangerous to modify the ID3 tag.
The reason is that what you get is NOT what you wanted. It hard to keep the tag when you write the other tag.
Especially, the tag writer's default configuration is to write "APEv2&ID3v1",
but ID3v2 is priorer than ID3v1 in display. Just suppose ID3v1 tag and ID3v2 tag
are in different languages, and both are needed.Edit the file info, and the result is the former ID3v1 tag will be lost.

I think,
more system varibles is need?write ID3v1 tag and ID3v2 tags seperately?

System default tag writing method conflicts with the tag display priorty?
