Plugin Request: ATRAC

OK I want to start recording my records to my computer, but I haven't found the format until now.

Well, I just bought a Sony MZ-N910 NetMD player and I can't play .omg's in Winamp or find any plugins for it.

I want to have a single collection of audio files, not MP3, vorbis AND ATRAC :/

ATRAC is an audio format exclusively owned by Sony.

Decoder sources haven't been released to the public, and I seriously doubt that this will happen in the near future.

Therefore, making a fb2k plugin for ATRAC is virtually impossible.

A foo_netmd will make me upgrade my current MD to a NetMD for sure, only one problem:

After some search, i couldn't find any SDK which is available to interface with it, the only reference is to something called 'opennmd' However, this project only started, and doesn't support uploading music to the MD yet.

ATRAC By itself, is completly uninteresting, since it doesn't compete quality wise with any other open codecs out there.

To upload music to your NetMD i suggest using foobar diskwriter -> WAV , andthen any of your favorite solutions as suggested in The NetMD FAQ

ATRAC is a collection of old crappy formats that AFAIK are closed.  There really isn't even a way to ABX many (most?) forms of it because decoders don't exist.
