Unable to Rip Jesse Cook - Nomad

Has anyone been able to rip beyond the first 5 tracks of the subject CD?  I tried to pull the tracks off the other day using Music Match, Creative Play Center (came with my MP3 player) and even EAC.  EAC will not even start the job, shows the tracks as non audio, and my other rippers appear to pull an audio stream (at 1X) from my Mic input (e.g. records room background noise).

Try this in EAC, after loading the CD but before trying to rip...

Menu items: Action - TOC Alterations - Detect TOC Manually

This forces EAC to manually determine the track layout.

I think perhaps I might have a different version of EAC then you do, I don't seem to have that option available.  I am running version V0.95 Prebeta 3 from 11 May 2003.  Is there another version I should be running?

Same version here. The option IS there. I've used it several times and just checked ... it's still there.

Alternative: When focus is on EAC main window press Alt-A -> A -> M  B)

Interesting, I don't have that option

This is the version I am using:

and this is what the menu looks like to me:

also shows how some of the tracks show up as audio and others do not.

Hmmm...

I'm using the exact same version, and here's a screenshot of the menu item on mine:

I've never seen this option not available for me.  Maybe try reinstalling EAC?

Go to EAC-> EAC Options -> Tools, and see whether or not "activate beginner mode" is checked. If it is, uncheck it. The TOC alterations should then be available.

I now have that option - thanks

I did my first detect, it found 12 of the 13 tracks it shows for the TOC - the CD only has 12 listed on it so I would imagine that is the data session for the CD but not sure.  Going to give ripping a try now.

Thanks guys.

Happier still - EAC was successful in pulling the songs from the disk once the TOC was detected manually.
