jitter from foobar with ADI 2 DAC

hi all,

i have heard jitter occasionally from playback with ADI 2 DAC.
i use asio in foobar. however, musicbee seems to be fine which also uses asio.
i updated the firmware and driver of the dac recently but no change.
nevertheless, when i switch to DacMagic Plus there is no jitter.
anyone know why?

regards

Do you mean jitter as in glitching or dropouts?
Who are you and how did you get in here ?
I'm a locksmith, I'm a locksmith.

Tried
* to drop Asio and instead use Exclusive mode? (Playback -> Output)
* Exclusive output overrides, hardware buffer or uncheck/check "Use event"? (Advanced -> Playback, you can type "exclu" in the search box)

Doesn't sound like jitter.

tried other outputs. it seems asio is the culprit, exclusive or not doesn't matter.
but what is the difference between 'primary sound driver' and madiface driver. do they use windows kernel sound?
