is there a device which can convert 2 entries into 1 entry ?

I've got a Speaker(amp) which have one audio entry (jack) ...
I'd like to put 2 output in it (tv and hifi) ...

Should I make a simple Y cable ? Or can I bought a device which accept 2 entry and convert signal into one ?
I don't want a switch ... I would like to have a device which could take the current playing line, or both (if both are playing) ...
Is this kind of device exists ? where could I buy it ?
    Don't want an audio/pro system ... Just want the simplest/cheapest thing ...

    Thanks in advance

What you want is a mixer.  A passive one should work just fine.

If the output impedances of your source devices are each high enough, you could get away with a Y cable, but I wouldn't recommend doing something that crude.
