Nokia Lumia capabilities

Hello,

does anyone here know if Nokia Lumia 735 with Windows 10 mobile supports natively 24 bit and/or 44.1 kHz playback through Windows Groove play? When I do simple sound record they are in AAC format, 16 bit, 48 kHz. Quality of playback (FLAC is supported on W10 Mobile) is reasonable for mobile device, but I would like to know the specs and abilites and have not found them.

Thanks,

Jan

The hardware itself has about 15 effective bits and can have the sample rate set almost arbitrarily.  Windows 10 (I believe) uses 32 bit floats for mixing and probably resamples to some default rate.

You could try doing a frequency sweep at 44.1k and recording the output. If the spectrum looks clean then it's not resampling or is using a good enough algorithm that it probably doesn't matter.
